Maintenance Mechanic II - 3rd Shift

Maintain Mini-Bag production equipment to eliminate down-time due to equipment issues.
Perform electrical repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment to include electrical switch gear, use of blueprints and schematics for control circuit repairs and repairs to motor control centers.
Install electrical facilities for new equipment and relocate equipment when necessary.
Perform sheet metal fabrication and welding assignments as required.
Analyze problems and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment for Device Focus Factory.
Use PC to troubleshoot and program microprocessors and related electrical devices.
Document all maintenance repairs and actions per plant procedures.
Maintain equipment in a manner to comply with cleanroom operating requirements.
Follow and comply with equipment manufacturer instructions and plant safety procedures.
Comply with Good Documentation Practices.
Perform routine equipment Preventative Maintenance (PMs).
Participate in and complete all required training. Participate in the training of new personnel.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
Maintain good housekeeping in the working area and lead 6S responsibilities as assigned.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.

High school diploma required. Additional technical experience, training or education a plus. Two-year vocational technical school degree desirable.
3-5 years maintenance experience. Preferably in FDA regulated environment.
Basic knowledge of quality and safety procedures and regulations a plus.
Mechanical aptitude required.
Ability to use electrical test equipment; e.g., volt-ohm meter, ammeter, megohmmeter.
Ability to troubleshoot and intall DC equipment/controllers, generators, solenoids, relays, motors, and power supplies.
Ability to perform industrial maintenance.
Basic electrical skills required.
Pipe fitting and welding experience a plus.
Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
Able to complete documentation legibly.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
Ability to work with and without direct supervision.
Low absenteeism.
Forklift certification a plus.
Must be able to work overtime as required. This may include plant shutdowns and plant holidays as needed.
Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037.
Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift above the shoulder up to 20 pounds.
Ability to reach above shoulders.
Ability to bend/stoop.
Ability to climb on ladders and catwalks to work on equipment.
Ability to work in unfavorable conditions (hot/cold temperatures).
Ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
